The QUIXX rim restoration set offers the solution for removing scratches and for repairing minor damage to your rims. Professional repair including repair paint will make your rims look as good as new again and thus contribute to preserving the value of your vehicle. The repair agent bonds harmoniously and permanently with the aluminum of the rims.

Thanks to the special QUIXX "Liquid Aluminum Technology" (LAT), the damaged rims can be optically and permanently repaired by filling the damaged areas.
The shape of the rim can be perfectly modeled during use. Finally, the treated area is painted with the supplied silver rim paint.

Instructions:

• First, clean the rim thoroughly with a rim cleaner and remove brake dust, dirt, wax, polish, etc. Remove any loose paint and protruding aluminum around the area to be repaired. Carefully apply tape for protection to avoid chafing on the undamaged areas near the damaged area.
• Carefully treat the damaged area to a smooth finish with the sandpaper (grey, 600 grit) wrapped around the sanding block. Then clean the treated areas with soapy water and dry them thoroughly.
• Apply an appropriate amount of putty to or in the damaged area and model the putty with your fingers and the side of the blade in the shape of the edge.
• After curing (takes approx. 2 hours), smooth the filler with sandpaper (100 grit) until the contour of the repair area fits perfectly with the edge. Then wet sand with a little water with the gray sandpaper (600 grit) to smooth the surface of the repaired area, ready for the paint. Wash the rim again with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all residue. Dry the rim well
• Using a brush, apply a small amount of paint in several thin coats to the area to be repaired. Wipe off excess paint as soon as possible with, for example, kitchen paper. Let the paint dry for about 2 to 3 hours. Then gently wet sand the painted area with the supplied sandpaper (grey, 600 grit).
• Minor Scratches and Damage: Before starting the repair, clean the rim thoroughly and then gently treat the damaged area with the sandpaper wrapped around the sanding block (grey, 600 grit). Then only treat the repaired area with the Healing Pen
