Daytime running lights legislation

The daytime running light must be white in color and only pass through to the front of the car. The daytime running lights must be mounted at least 25 cm above the road surface, the maximum is 105 cm. In addition, it may be placed a maximum of 40 cm from the side of the car. When you install the daytime running lights in the headlight, you will generally have no problems with this. Finally, the daytime running lights should go out when sidelights or low beams are switched on.

The separate daytime running light boxes are easy to mount in the bumper of the car. Because the light boxes are larger in size, they will stand out more. The advantage of the light box is that it has a greater light output.

For both options you need a daytime running light switch box when installing. The lighting is connected to this. This box ensures that the daytime running lights are switched off when the side lights or low beams are switched on.
