Meguiars Scratch X
NEW FORMULA: The latest formula replaces the Scratch X 2.0 and removes light defects faster, with less rubbing AND offers protection against polymer wax. The ScratchX from top brand Meguiar's has been around for years and is known as an affordable yet effective solution for fine scratches on car paint.
The product contains a very fine abrasive to polish away imperfections and light scratches. This scratch remover does not mask scratches, as most products do. This really keeps scratches away. The scratch remover can be applied manually with a pad, but is also suitable for a dual action machine.Always have ScratchX on hand for quick removal of paint problems when they arise. The formula with unique diminishing abrasive™ technology is safer than most formulas. It also doesn't 'cover' scratches like most traditional products do, ScratchX ensures that once scratches are gone, they stay!
Application:
- Suitable for all types of paint
- Can also be used on clear coat
- Removes fine scratches and damage
Instructions
- Manual: apply a small amount of product to an applicator pad or clean 100% cotton cloth and rub evenly on a cool surface (always in the shade). Treat one surface at a time.
- With a DA Polisher : apply a small amount of product to a clean polishing pad. Polish the uneven area using overlapping strokes. Remove excess product with a Meguiar's Microfiber or 100% cotton cloth. Repeat treatment if necessary. Do not use on unpainted vinyl or rubber surfaces.
Difference between Scratch X and Paint Cleaner :
ScratchX has been specially developed for the removal of local light scratches. Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner also removes light swirls and scratches but is primarily intended for deep cleaning of the paintwork and the removal of fading and oxidation. For heavier swirls all over the car, we always recommend Ultimate Compound so that you are assured of a glossy result. ScratchX is also perfect for quickly removing local scratches.

Perfect for shallow scratches, I've used it on metallic paint and have managed to completely remove a number of scratches

Very good product! Some scratches are not even to be found afterwards, some become a lot less noticeable. Afterwards they sometimes reappear, but light scratches stay away!

My black car had an ugly 'white' scratch of 2 by 2 cm. I was able to completely get rid of it with this product! I thicker scratch did not go away. What I read in reviews; if you can feel the scratch with your nail, it cannot simply be polished away. But I am very satisfied and no ugly white scratch!
